WASO is pleased to announce funding for  a) Two (2) one month PhD/Postdoc fellowships at any of our Partners in Norway b) One (1) six months PhD/Postdoc fellowship in Norway c) One (1) one year PhD fellowship at any of our Partners in Africa or Asia. In water and society (climate change) related disciplines. The disciplines under this call include:

Water Resources Management ? Applied Hydrology and ground water management ? Irrigation and water management Ÿ GIS and remote sensing in water resources Ÿ Water and Disaster management Ÿ Water supply (engineering, technology, health, water quality) Ÿ Waste water treatment Ÿ Computer applications in water and Environmental engineering; Hydropolitics Ÿ Climate change impacts & adaptation. The research funding will be provided through the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Makerere University and will cover costs of field research / tuition, a modest stipend Eligibility and requirements

The applicant should 

Applicants for the Ph.D. fellowships should be duly registered. Applicants for the Postdoctoral fellowships should hold a PhD with a proven research record in WASO related areas. In addition, applicants should: Be members of staff of Makerere University

Be willing to undertake and complete field research and write-up (including publishing in recognized journals) within the specified period;  

Postdoctoral applicants should be willing to participate in joint supervision. o Females are highly encouraged to apply.

Provide a full Curriculum Vitae (CV) with primary and alternative contacts, copies of academic documents, statement of research interest and contact addresses (phone and email) of two referees.
