MSc Research Fellowships in Water, Society and Climate Chang (WaSo) Programmes
WASO is pleased to announce funding for a) Two (2) 3-weeks study fellowships in Norway to attend a credited course {Water Resources Management and Treatment Technologies} b) Two (2) Six month study fellowships at any of our Partner universities in either Asia or Africa. c) Two (2) 2-year full study fellowship for marginalized at Makerere University. In water and society (climate change) related disciplines. The disciplines under this call include:
Water Resources Management ? Applied Hydrology and ground water management ? Irrigation and water management GIS and remote sensing in water resources Water and Disaster management Water supply (engineering, technology, health, water quality) Waste water treatment Computer applications in water and Environmental engineering; Hydropolitics Climate change impacts & adaptation.
The research funding will be provided through the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Makerere University and work in fields relevant to the above broad theme. In addition, applicants should: o Be willing to undertake and complete field research and write-up (including publishing in recognized journals) within the specified period; o Should have draft research proposals, which are WASO, related. o Females are highly encouraged to apply. o Provide proof of completion of coursework for category (a) and (b), a full Curriculum Vitae (CV) with primary and alternative contacts, copies of academic documents, statement of research interest and contact addresses (phone and email) of two referees.
